AUSTRALIA CLASSIC
Australia’s precision classic rally series

ABOUT

Based on such classic rallies as the legendary Mille Miglia in Italy and the Silvretta Classic in Austria, our event is an animated car tour spanning an entire weekend on the most beautiful roads of tropical Australia.

These races are not about speed and taking risks; Australia Classic follows the tradition of gentlemen’s racing, established by the above named European examples.

The Australia Classic series is held on public roads alongside regular traffic, and adheres to all road rules. Owners of expensive and beautiful classic vehicles will not have to risk their prized possessions; instead the objective is to be on time to the 100th of the second.

The Australia Classic series is held on public roads alongside regular traffic, and adheres to all road rules.

Owners of expensive and beautiful classic vehicles will not have to risk their prized possessions; instead the objective is to be on time to the 100th of the second. The typical route includes some 600 kms of driving over two days, taking through amazing scenery from coastal roads through hairpin-bend serpentines, to mountain range climbs, with timed coordination challenges every hour.

Drivers and their navigators follow a detailed Roadbook, which describes the route for the tour sign by sign, and through precision they compete for the stage prizes (one for every challenge) and the three main prizes as well as enjoying themselves in good company with stunning cars.

Cars made prior to 1987 are eligible to enter in the Classic class, however the event also features an Open class for replicas, supercars and hot-rods.

The events were and will continue to be extensively featured in the media, so participants end up with a lot of precious footage of their classic treasures. The organisers offer assistance in accommodation and of course, the adventure includes all meals for the drivers and navigators.
