As a fresh executive decision it has been approved that replicas of classic cars (ICVs – Individually Constructed Vehicles) are eligible to enter even though they were manufactured after 1982.
This adjustment opens the way for Cobra, Ferrari GTO, Porsche 356 and Ford GT40 replicas as well. While these cars may represent modern technology to some extent; technology will play a very little role in the handicap of the competitors. At the same time these cars would have been hand built to individual specifications which will surely offset any perceived technological advantage.
The replicas described above look and handle “age-appropriate” and we are certain their entry will be welcome by all other participants.
We encourage replicas of Queensland to enter, especially with regards to Cobras of Cairns and cars made by DRB Sportscars.
